Abstract : 

Management of special needs patients in general dental practice poses unique challenges and requires a comprehensive understanding of their specific needs and considerations. This presentation aims to provide dental professionals with practical insights and strategies for effectively managing special needs patients in a general dental setting.

It begins by outlining the diverse range of this special patient group encountered in the daily practice, including individuals with intellectual/physical disabilities, and geriatric patients with different medical comorbidities. 

Participants will gain an understanding on the provision of optimal dental care to them in the community-based clinical setting, including the associated challenges and potential implications
