Working Groups

Task Teams and Working Groups may be established by Council to consider matters that do not fall within the purview of any Standing Committee.

AMR Working Group

The Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Working Group has developed a white paper on the essential role of the dental team in reducing antibiotic resistance, with a supporting online library of resources. Given that dentists prescribe almost 10% of all antibiotics, oral health professionals need to be involved in the development and implementation of national action plans to counter antibiotic resistance. The AMR Working Group reports to Science Committee.
