Thursday 16 January 2025 (Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) – The highly anticipated FDI Regional Congress SIDC, co-hosted by the Saudi Dental Society and FDI World Dental Federation officially opened today at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Taking place over three days of enriching educational sessions, the event is set to welcome a record-breaking number of attendees. This year’s congress is set to be the largest in the history of SIDC and FDI’s activities in the Middle East, gathering over 3,000 registered delegates for its prestigious scientific programme, along with over 10,000 expected trade visitors.
Renowned dental experts from around the world have gathered to share their insights across a variety of cutting-edge topics, with 130 distinguished speakers leading the discussions during 143 lectures. Practice will be at the heart of the programme with 36 workshops, attracting anadditional 800 participants.
The event also boasts the largest SIDC tradeshow ever, showcasing 165 exhibitors from around the globe. These exhibitors are presenting over 3,400 brands representing the latest innovations in dental technology, equipment, and services.
A special Innovation Zone has been created to provide the maximum level of interaction, allowing delegates to experience live demonstrations of groundbreaking products and solutions.
As part of the event’s commitment to the growth of the dental profession, the congress has dedicated two special interactive sessions focused on career development for young dentists. These sessions aim to foster discussion, mentorship, and networking opportunities for emerging dental professionals.
“We are thrilled to see such a remarkable turnout for this year’s FDI Regional Congress and SIDC,” said Dr Ziyad Allahem, President of the Saudi Dental Association and Chairman of the congress. “The growth in both the scientific and exhibition components reflect the increasing importance of the region as a hub for global dental innovation and collaboration.”
The congress will run through the coming days, offering a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, professional development, and business networking, as well as providing the latest insights into the future of the dental industry.
