Abstract :
Aesthetic emergencies in endodontics present unique diagnostic and therapeutic challenges that require immediate, precise, and interdisciplinary management. This lecture explores the endodontist’s role in addressing sudden aesthetic concerns arising from traumatic dental injuries, discoloration following endodontic therapy, and complications requiring surgical intervention. Emphasis will be placed on evidence-based decision-making in managing traumatic injuries affecting anterior teeth, modern internal bleaching protocols, and the integration of endodontic microsurgery for optimal functional and aesthetic outcomes. Through clinical case discussions and updates from recent literature, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to combine biological principles with aesthetic considerations to achieve predictable, long-lasting results in complex aesthetic emergencies.
Learning objectives :
- Recognize and classify common aesthetic emergencies in endodontic practice, including traumatic injuries and post-endodontic discolorations.
 - Apply evidence-based protocols for the immediate and long-term management of dental trauma affecting the anterior aesthetic zone.
 - Evaluate and implement modern internal bleaching techniques for discoloured endodontically treated teeth, emphasizing safety and predictability.
 - Integrate surgical endodontic approaches including microsurgical techniques for cases where aesthetics are compromised due to apical pathology or root resorption
 - Collaborate effectively with restorative and aesthetic teams to deliver multidisciplinary care that preserves both function and aesthetics.
