Great news for dental professionals worldwide! FDI’s Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Sustainability in Dentistry is now available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, and Spanish.

The main aim of this MOOC is to help dentists, dental teams and students understand the importance of sustainable practices and their own role in championing environmental responsibility within dentistry.

The learning outcomes for this three-hour course include to understand the impact of oral healthcare on the environment and to utilize evidence-based dentistry to improve the oral health of your patients in an environmentally conscious way.

A final assessment at the end of the course gives the opportunity to formally pass the course and to receive a printable course certificate.

Once the course has been completed, participants have the opportunity to apply for the Sustainability Ambassador Prize sponsored by Dentsply Sirona! Two winners will be selected for a prize of CHF 500 each for education themselves about sustainable dentistry and how to apply it in their practice. Winners will be selected by the FDI Sustainability in Dentistry Task Team in December 2024.
