Dr Saul Paiva
Prof. Saul Martins Paiva is a professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Oral Health at the Faculty of Dentistry of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He holds a degree in Dentistry from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, a master’s degree from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, a PhD from the University of São Paulo, and a postdoctorate in epidemiology and public health from McGill University, Canada. The 2022 and 2023 Latin America Top 100 Scientists Ranking by the AD Scientific Index platform highlighted Prof. Saul among the 100 most influential researchers in Latin America. He is also among the top 2% of the most influential researchers in the world for the years 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, according to Stanford University’s Ranking. He has published two books in the field of Pediatric Dentistry and more than 400 articles in internationally recognized scientific journals.

Abstract:
The lecture will address topics on public policies aimed at improving the oral health of populations with a special focus on Brazilian policies and their impacts at different stages of life.
