Abstract:

Full mouth rehabilitation is a comprehensive dental treatment approach aimed at restoring the function, aesthetics, and health of the oral cavity. This procedure is crucial for young patients with extensive dental issues such as severe decay, congenital defects, trauma, or developmental anomalies. The rehabilitation process typically involves multiple disciplines of dentistry, including pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Treatment plans are customized to address the unique needs of each child, focusing on restoring normal chewing function, enhancing speech, and improving overall oral health. By utilizing a combination of preventive, restorative, and sometimes surgical interventions, full mouth rehabilitation helps ensure optimal long-term outcomes, promoting the child's overall well-being and quality of life. This holistic approach not only addresses immediate dental concerns but also lays the foundation for maintaining healthy oral habits and structures as the child grows. Several clinical cases will be discussed.
